Laithan our guide was exceptional and went out of his way to connect with each of us so he could provide the best fun ride. The entire thing was well executed with one exception. The safety briefing was not heard by half the group. 5 groups stood next to a loud raging river while the shortest and quietest river guide gave the partially heard briefing. “Be sure to have good hiking boots, warm socks and rain jacket. They provide hiking poles if needed (which i needed for my knees). Loved learning more about the edible berries (and eating them), and especially what mushrooms NOT to eat! The debris hut shelter would have been fun to completely build out - but that would have taken the whole time. Jade was fun and engaging and helped our 11 year old with bow drill fire. Lots of info in a short amount of time. A good Intro to Primitive Survival!”
